She has a degree in business from Florida A&M University as well as an MBA from the prestigious University of Georgia, Terry College of Business. Carla combines creative vision with strategic thinking. Her professional background as a Senior Contracts Leader has honed her ability to navigate complex negotiations and build successful partnerships, skills that translate seamlessly to entertainment industry collaborations.
Currently serving on the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia, Carla maintains deep connections within the disability advocacy community, ensuring her creative work remains grounded in real experiences and current needs. She also renders service to the community and women and girls through her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her contribution to "Beauty in the Battle: Stormproof" anthology demonstrates her versatility as a writer and her ability to connect with audiences through powerful storytelling.

Her inspiration and passion for this work were ignited by her lived experiences parenting her 5th grade daughter, Camille, who lives with autism. With three advanced degrees spanning theology, education, and disability studies from prestigious institutions including Princeton Theological Seminary and Emory University, Nathaniel combines academic rigor with real-world impact. His work as a Lead Pastor demonstrates his gift for connecting with audiences through powerful, relatable messaging, while his experience in healthcare at Emory Healthcare showcases his ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and grace.
A former Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Nathaniel has consistently championed underrepresented voices throughout his career. His unique background in pharmaceutical sales, corporate training, and higher education has honed his ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences, a skill that shines through in his current roles as both pastor and college professor.
Beyond his professional achievements, Nathaniel’s commitment to community service is evidenced by his active involvement with the Boys and Girls Club Advisory Council, Board member of the North Fulton Foundation, and his role as chaplain for his graduate chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. His passion for historical research, combined with his natural storytelling abilities, brings depth and authenticity to his advocacy work.
